Great Wolf Lodge vs. Niagara Fallsview Waterpark

So I've visited both of these water parks in the past year and thought I would give my own little review of the pair. So let's get started.

After visiting the Great Wolf Lodge (or The Floge as my little guy words it.lol) we decided this year to go to the Fallsview Water park in Niagara. It was less expensive and appeared to have the same attractions according to the internet.

The first thing I noticed at The Fallsview was that it was really stuffy inside. I felt like my nose was burning from the bleach smell. Also, the water was cold. My youngest son (4yrs. old) doesn't appreciate cold water the way Canadians normally do..lol. So we went looking for the "warm pool" which Fallsview does not have. They have hot tubs for adults and a small splash pad with warm water that was full of adults trying to warm up.

We stayed the entire day and throughout the day, attractions were systematically shut down for water recycling? I don't know but it was a bit of a pain especially when the kids splash pad shut down. Now my little guy had nothing to do and after we were done swimming and wanted to shower, there were only 2 showers in the changeroom. That being said, there were more by the pool area but they were freezing cold. I waited close to 20min. for a shower. I thought this was a bit silly. Even a public pool or recreation centre has more showers than this place.

Now, Great Wolf Lodge did not have this problem and the water was warm. At Great Wolf Lodge we stayed overnight and I didn't see any of the attractions get shut down for water recycling or whatever it was... Something like that.

Also, at Great Wolf Lodge, we didn't have to stand in line for 30min to get an overpriced small locker. The Lodge actually has lockers large enough to fit our stuff. At Fallsview, we got 2 lockers and still didn't have enough room and we had to pay $25.00 to park.

To make a long story short, go to Great Wolf Lodge.. It's less hassle, more fun and it will probably still cost as much to go to Fallsview and at Fallsview you'll come out all stuffed up and congested not to mention cold....
